Making stuffed toys, banana bread, and training for Marathons!

Ha, so there, Sam picked up my sewing machine from my parents house and we have created....a bunny! Great success.

As for the banana bread, we had like 10 ripe bananas that I like to save for my breakfast oatmeal, but they turned out to be too ripe, so we had no choice but to make use of them. Yumm. And we also made the splenda/apple sauce version. Not bad, and like 1/3 the calories.

With regards to training, I have another event to look forward to: the Baltimore Road Runners Club North Central Trail Marathon on November 27th. I just need a 3:39 to run Boston, and hopefully Sam's knee will magically feel better on the Mohawk-Hudson marathon (Oct 10th), and he will be able to qualify for Boston too, and then we can run it together because we have realized that the two of us training for two separate events is not working out. One is doing the diet and the training, the other is eating Chinese food and doing easy runs.

Alright, I am feeling very tired and my thoughts are very scattered, but all I'm saying is that I love what we do, and I love my husband, and I'm just greatful for what we have.
And with that, I thonk I want another slice of banana bread. Cheers!
